When your pet arrives for his or her dental procedure, he or she will be anesthetized and full anesthetic monitoring will be performed, including vitals, ECG, blood pressure, and oxygenation. Your pet will be given IV fluids to ensure adequate hydration and blood flow to organs. Your pet’s teeth will be fully cleaned removing plaque and tartar above and below the gumline and the teeth will be polished. If your pet requires any dental work, this will then be completed. Your charges will not differ from the previously established treatment plan. Your pet will be given pain control medications if indicated. At the conclusion of your pet’s visit, our veterinary staff will show you photographs and x-rays that were taken during and after the procedure and we will go over all home-care instructions with you.
